ie 7 beta 2 issues (in Off-topic)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] April 26 2006 7:19 PM EDT

i have tried both the ie7 beta 2 preview and the new release and i am having issues logging in and staying logged in to cb2. it keeps throwing me back to the login screen. i can sometimes get it to work by deleting all cookies and temp files, but as soon as i restart ie it will happen again.

i do know that firefox seems to be the browser of choice, i have it use it and like it a lot, so please don't tell me to use that. what i would like to know is if anyone else is having this issue and if they have fixed it as well as the method they used.

thanks!

Hahaha! Problems with IE, and you're wondering why?

I agree: if Microsoft calls something a beta, and you try it, you're just asking for trouble.

No versions of IE I have *downloaded work. I reformatted my harddrive a couple weeks ago and the original IE that came with Windows XP (home), I would imagine, works fine, and I have not yet been forced to install firefox.

I use IE version 6. In fact, i've always used internet explorer and I have never come across a problem.. Don't really know why everyone slates it so much.

works fine for me also

It's called 'bandwagoning'wasp ;)

Kinda like the explosion of flags and such after 9/11, that, you'll notice, have mostly disappeared...

That's because now everyone has magnetic ribbons. *smile*

hey dudemus, try
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Reset Internet Explorer Options
And close all browsers, open them up again and see if that helps.

Alternatively, and ideally, try Firefox.

You know all those buggy little things that always happen with IE that you've gotten so used to that you hardly notice any more? Well, you very very rarely get those problems with FF.

thanks for the tip veri, i did try that and the same thing happens. it will let me log in once and fight fine, however if i close the browser then when i go back into it i keep getting thrown back to the login page at that point.

thanks anyways though.

Bizzare, I'm using IE7 Beta 2 also and it works fine, I stay logged in and everything. Hmmmm
