Clan auto-disbanded!? (in General)

My clan was just auto-disbanded, but I don't know why. Johnnywas left the clan this morning (he's going on vacation), then we got up to about a 10% bonus two hours ago. I just got back online, and the clan has disbanded!

I've heard of this sort of thing happening before. In fact, this is the second time my clan has been auto-disbanded due to someone leaving.

It seems that when a member leaves a clan, their positive points disappear, but the negative ones remain, and it messes up the weekly clan score.

Jon, is it possible to change the system so that this sort of thing doesn't happen?

Exactly this happened to the NoV. It disbanned after a member (then with the highest weekly CPs) left.

I suggested that might have been the reason then, but it was generally thought to have been something else.

It does seem to look like clans remove the accumulated points of members that leave (Just the positive ones?), usually leaving them under the auto disband cap if that member had made a lot of points in the last week.

Both positive and negative points are retained, by design. This is not a bug.

I guess we have to sit down and actually do the math to get anything but a "it's not a bug". So if I understand you correctly Jon, a clan would only be disbanded if they would have also been disbanded if the user had not fought that week? Your statement make no sense, if clan point s are being retained, why are the clans (some even getting a bonus) being disbanded?

I can't see how that was possible (unless Johnny's leaving had something to do with it), when we were hitting around a 10% clan bonus for most of the week.

Exactly the same thing happened to the original FI and the NoV, the moment a clan member left.

I've been removed from the clan points (MVPs? I take it that doesn't stand for Most Vertical Primate! :P ) stats page, is there any way to find out what our clan points where before we were disbanded?

I'm sure the disband was due to Johnny leaving, I can't belive we were over the auto disband limit.

But I can't check what our points were. :(
