Wiki: ST and DX Focused Tank Armor (in General)

AdminNightStrike May 28 2006 1:11 PM EDT

There are no less than four pages for this topic:

ST and DX Focused Tank Armor
ST, DX Focused Tank Armor
ST//DX Focused Tank Armor
ST/DX Focused Tank Armor

The bottom two foul up the linking, and are pages that don't exist anymore. The top two are identical pages. If you go to the AC entry, you'll see that the last one links to AC, so the page must exist somewhere. You can't actually get to it, that I can see.

Something should be done to clean this up (deleting redundant pages and removing pages with a slash in the title). Also, I imagine the style guide should explain not to use a slash in the title of a page. I'm not entirely sure how to go about doing that, though.

imo that should become 1 page with 2 parts, DX focused armor and ST focused armor, and no other links to that page but 1 fixed link.

also that link at the bottom of the AC page is a ghost link.

It's not really a ghost link. It's trying to link in a way that isn't supported. You can't put slashes in page titles.

Are you sure the original intent wasn't an armor set focused on both ST and DX at the same time?

how can you focus on ST and DX at the same time when you can't wear Elven Gloves and Tulkas' Gauntlets at the same time? ;)

Elven cloak or boots with tulka's gauntlets and HoE, perhaps? Just guessing... I know little about tanks.

that was me, the wiki didnt let me use '/'. i was having trouble creating it, if u read it the one that says ST and DX focused armor it makes sense. you get bonuses to both ST and DX, with both ST and DX enhancing armour, i dont see what is wrong.

when i made the pages with a '/' it just went back to the page i made it off, bart was telling me

Well, you would be focusing on a compromise between focusing on ST or DX then imo.

Focusing on ST would be using a HoE, TG, ToA and maximising damage using the heaviest available weapon, the BoNE.

Focusing on DX would be using an EC, EGs, EBs and using light armor for the rest as well as using a 1-handed weapon if using a shield.

Those are 2 completely different set-ups imo. :)
