Neg, what does Domini Canis mean?

I believe that means "Lord of the Dog"

"domini canis" by itself would mean "dog of the lord". In Latin, word order is flexible - "Canis Domini" and "Domini Canis" mean the same thing, the relationship of the words is given by the endings.

If you are trying to say "lord of dogs", that would be "dominus canum".

Nah, it's a play on word for the 'Black Friars', or those of the Dominican order. I'd heard they were derogatorily called Domini Canis (A corruption of Dominican), or dogs/hounds of God.
