Poll: Do you check recent battles? (in General)

Hey all, spending the day revamping the sidebar. I'd like to know how many of you use the function in the sidebar "Recent Battles: Mine/All". I have personally never clicked the "All" button, though the "Mine" serves for a useful purpose.

While you're at it, any other functions in the sidebar that need to be added or taken off? For example, I'm adding a chatmail link to the sidebar =D

I use the 'mine' one often to see how many defending battles I'm winning.

I use it all the time.

Chatmail on the sidebar ? un-needed. :P Just type the persons name in PM To: and in pm type /mail and the message. :D

It sure would be nice to see a CM button on the side although, admittedly, the Recent Battles: All can be taken off as presumably no one in their right mind uses it

Genie, I get more chat mails from you (and a lot from you, haha). I need to check back on my CM's often ;)

I use the Recent Battles "Mine" often and the "All" less often but certainly wouldn't like to see it gone from the sidebar.

I also use the chatmail link frequently.

Give us a link to our main character and you'll be a star !

I check it 5 times when fighting.

it would probably be more accurate to check the request logs for this sort of thing :)

I use "Mine" often, and check other folks' summaries as well. I never use "All".

My information is far more reliable than any fancy-schmancy "request log". *smile*

I use "All" to see who I can farm ;)

both are a key part of clan fighting at the top, please don't much with them.

I just made a mockup. Since it seems some of you do have a use for the "all" button, I'll keep it in, though it isn't in this mockup. The tab idea is nice =D

I check "mine" sometimes, but never ever check "all".

It wouldn't hurt to have a faster link to "My Clan". I check that very often (when I'm in a clan).

Yes, a direct link to Chatmail would be very very nice :)

The stats section could be redesigned. For instance, the random "top stat" section is something I have never checked, and the winning streak field I find completely meaningless.

And please, please, please (ad infinitum), add the famous lazy-link to "me". That is, add a direct link on the sidebar to my own user page.

Mael needs to be able to CM himself with one click.

And I've had a 'johnnywas is lazy' request recurring for quite some time for the side panel.

Basically I want to get to my 'community user' page in one click - the 'johnnywas' page. I know I can get there through 'settings' and then via the link to see how other users see you but I want one easy click!

i click on them both everyone once in a while, but i like it there and a CM button would be great :)

That's right, Bast: you've stopped pestering me, and I've gotten so lonely that I have to CM myself :'(

that's cause she seems to be waiting for the continuation of the endless stream of typos coming out of my keyboards, every time I get a cm offering suggestions to misspellings I don't remember making...

The only thing I really use my recent battles for is for the 24 hour summary; Otherwise I take a quick glance at recent battles to see if I'm being farmed at the time or, if I'm looking at someone else's, to see if they're fighting at the moment. I've never even touched "ALL" I really like being able to see my 24 hour summary. It helps me especially when I switch strategies or equipment.

I use the Recent Battles for myself link ALL the time. It's the surest way to know that you are not being farmed. And trust me, the 24 hour summary does NOT replace it. So just leave it in there for my own sake please.
