Something in between. I've never gone so far to make a myspace but I know a little bit of the basics, and almost up to a table with colors.

5.5.
I need to grab the ECMA reference and my "cheat sheet of what is broken on each browser" every time I whip out some JS.

I know all the basic text formatting, hyperlinks, ordered/unordered lists, tables, etc. and I suppose I can make a very basic web page (I did do the trivia page on cbstuff.nl ;-) but that's about it.

I can make a webpage, and I know Java, so I can fight through Javascript.
4) I know how to throw together a web page
Although I can do pages with both HTML/Javascript as well (outdated format, yes I know) Man I need to take the time to learn CSS...

3.75) I know how to throw together a web page
1) What the hell is HTML?
(not entirely accurate: I know how to <nospellcheck> and <br> and, if someone sends me the <whatever goes here to make a link or put in a picture>, I can do that too!
1) (I've used this answer since 1994 to avoid having to do websites for folks, however a more truthful answer would be 5 - 7 depending on mood)

There should really be an option in between 2 and 4 for those of us that know small amounts of relevant HTML code and know how to use Adobe GoLive! properly. I'll call it 2.75.
Novice, somewhere between 5-7 is not an answer, I'm trying to make a distinction on what skills you have. You either know something or you don't. :)
I can use the nospellcheck and br tags when posting! :D
(Like this post required!)
4 then, since we are not allowing for the few hours of refreshing it might
take to bring me up a few levels.
5 i think.
I know the basic tags.
I got 37/40 on a web design final using dreamweaver.

Can we have another option:
I hope there are no future 'special features' that are going to require us to use HTML.....
please please please...no......
But somewhere between 2 and 4 when I'm not being lazy....
No, why would you think that Johnny? Anyways, just like I said to Novice, the Poll says "pick one" not pick multiple. Please try again Johnny.
