TAB (in General)

Is there any reason not to buy TAB at 12.2 million? I mean, that amount wouldn't even purchase BA during a NCB run. I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now. I don't have the NW to make it the top character right now, but all of that exp must be able to help me beat most characters...right?

Well 12.2 mil is quite a bit of money to blow, especially if you don't have the gear to equip him. The gear is what will make most of the difference, and you'd need a gigantic weapon such as MH and probably an ELB, just for weapons. Then you'd need to buy pretty much 4 sets of full high-end gear, which would runs you well over $50mil by the time you're looking at a decent setup. I once considered this but then with planning realized that it's way out of my range, or anyone's for that matter unless they have experience with large characters and a seemingly endless bankroll.

What you could do is save up enough for the two main weapons, sell your AG's, and keep your displacement boots. If you need a loan, I'd be happy to grant you one at low interest (and hey, the money goes back out to the community). The AMF I believe is already extremely high, so you can hold off on some eqiupment against mages. AC should definitely not be too large of a problem, considering the HP is already so high. Over time, just use the money you make to buy more gear, and pay forgers to forge (saves money).

I seriously considered it, I really did. I already have the gear, I have the resources, but in the end I decided that an NCB would be more fun.

i think someone should buy it whether they have the gear right now or not. We can't just let the best character in the game die can we? Just buy it and retire it and when yur ready to try it on just have an admin unretire it for you.

TAB is only expensive to equip if you don't unlearn the exp and change the strat. NWO, a Character belonging to PoisoN, does very well as a four minion char without a huge NW.

Keep in mind that buying TAB won't necessarily ruin the fun. TAB is a powerful character, but the challenge really comes in keep it the top, with or without equipment. Can you use it to keep on top of rising NBC's and NUB's?

I don't think NBC will be challenging TAB's top spot, but a few NCB's might be!

Even a few NCBs or NUBs who get a bit higher than TAB will already make things look better :p

Then again, all that power can be untrained then placed in a strategic manner. If I were to buy it (Which I won't, since it'll spoil the fun of heading to the top with your own experience) I would have a super 4-minion 2E 2M team.

Personally, I find large characters boring. There's either very few people to fight against, or you get farmed too much. It's far more interesting to start new characters, build them up, try new strategies, etc
