Hopefully France slaughter them. With a bit of luck ronaldo might break a leg.

Ronaldo seems to be more vilified by the English supporters than Rooney for his part in the red card. Rooney was the guy who stamped on the Portuguese players groin...

However, as for tonights game.

Figo may be out injured and if so I think that'll actually make the Portugal team stronger as he's not been up to much so far.
If France turn up and play as they did against the Brazilians then I'd expect this game to be over and done before the 90mins are finished. France have toiled to score goals though, so it's not quite cut and dried.

Prediction.
France 2 - 1 Portugal

Like so many of the games, the team that shows up and decides to play to their true ability level will probably win. France should be able to take it easily, but they have been relatively lazy/lucky so far. We'll see. Germany should have won yesterday but they ran too slow for the last two minutes.

i'd like to say great game, except for that penalty it was a bit unfair, i think if France hadn't scored at that penalty, they would of had more determination to score later on in the game.

I was kind of hoping it would go into extra time, just to see how they would play at it.

nice work my portugal's keeper despite the fact he came into the French box, he played good outside of his box.

and there was still some form of diving from both sides.

I don't think he stamped on the other guy on purpose. It seemed totally accidental. However, notice how ronaldo was crowding the referee. The red card was for Rooney pushing ronaldo in front of the ref. ronaldo is known to be a diver as we (English) have to see him play in the premiership.

Diving and referee crowding should have been sorted out in the the world cup. Not handing out yellow cards for challenges.
