quiting as a mentor (in Public Record)

if the next mentee dosnt ask or say a word to me i quit as a mentor
the last 50 or 60 havent said a word to me so why bother so next mentee you better speak to me

they come and go.

if they don't talk to you, send them one CM, or try and chat to them, and make sure they know how to PM/CM you as well.

at least then you can say you tried, then you can wait for the next mentee.

i myself have not gotten an official mentee that is still here, i goto new players and help out with mentees who say that their mentors don't say anything back, or don't try an talk to them.


if you're demanding things from being a mentor then you shouldn't be one.

being a mentor is charity work, to put it shortly.

Not to be dense, but if they don't speak to you, it doesn't really matter whether you are a mentor or not...

I tend to hang out in new players, so I see my mentees come out of tutorial. Even with directly greeting them in chat and encouraging them to ask questions, only 1 in 10 ever does. Which is OK with me - I don't think I'd have the time to answer detailed questions from all of them.

regarding why it's moved:

most likely because you seem to be making a public statement?

Where did you get that idea? Anyone is allowed in new players, for as long as they are there to help new players, as that's what that room is for.

All that means is that her opinion you aren't helping new players. Try explaining your just waiting for the oppurtunity. PM her or CM her if you have a problem. She doesn't kick for NO reason.

To think Mem's doing so well in the poll's and yes Bast does kick for negligible reasons and will state to you oficially that if you are not a mentor you are not to be in new players. That's the rules. or haven't you noticed since I quit being at the top of the mentor list I've been in carnage. You get kicked for going in there even if asked for help from somewhere else.

Oh yeah and Bast is the one with the personality to be in Antartica....

last week i went to new players and helped some newbies and when bast was going off she said to (think it was) wasp,"watch out for AoD he thinks he his helping ppl"
since yesterday im no longer a mentor and who cares no newbie asks questions in cm anyway and since your not allowed in new players by bast im not gone bother anymore and its alot better for my cmlist in community, maby now its gone be empty someday

To be honest, if I was a new player and my first message was an unpunctuated message string from AOD, I wouldn't respond either.
