Slayer arrow vs. regular arrow (in General)

Don't know how many times this has been done before, but I felt a small study should be done. Using 5 points of data for each type or arrow, each against 6 different targets (30 in total), without training or upping my ELB in between tests, I've found that the 15x Slayer arrows give roughly a 7% bonus to the damage done by normal 8x arrows. Both these tests were done using (obviously) base ammo. Now, does is 7% because of the 7x difference between regular and slayer arrows, or is it just a coincidence it works out to be that way?

Now, is it worth it? In these days of exceedingly short round fights, being able to do more damage in ranged is critical. But, how much should you pay for those slayer arrows in auctions? Is it worth the hassle of finding all the arrows, and paying more than the NW for them? I feel, that for a tank like myself, it's important because it's hard to yup my UC, and especially crucial for any archers that hope to make a living feasting in the 3 ranged rounds.

Ammo damage modifiers are as of yet not stable, and thus your research isn't correct I'm afraid.

Also if you were to have 8x2 normal arrows and 15x2 slayer arrows, your 7% difference would be higher most likely.

Yes, I figured as much, but unfortunately I can't test the second part yet, until Jon fixes the bug that has been swirling around =(
