The invisible item that isn't invisible... (in General)

I've decided to join the fray...

Since seekers can see through an AoI, can anyone give me any good use for it?
It seems to me that the best use of the AoI's basic concept would be to try hide a mage from dying in the ranged rounds, especially with the big increases to damage. But if seekers still see through it, what use is it?

Anyone? It seems to me that the AoI is the polar opposite to the VB in the supporter item realm - it's the most useless, that is... So does that make Seekers overpowered, or the AoI underpowered? :P

BM,

Just look at my character to see a good use for the AOI.

IMO, seekers should have a chance to be "confused" by the AOI, but that is up to Jon to enable.

However, vs non seekers and all melee attacks, the AOI is great.

I personally think of it as the anti-MM change item. It allows you to have your mage or tank in front without being hit first my all physical damage except seekers.

Barzoo, the +20 evasion given by the AoI is worth more than 20 mil to large vb users, hardly useless. Given a team with decent NW that bonus should give you enough evasion to avoid being skewered by seekers.

err db users...nag dabit

Thank you, gentlemen - I forgot about the evasion part. And I agree with the idea about "confusing" the seekers - making it a random thing, as opposed to an all-out seeker nerf...

Stick it on your Tank! :D Then you can move your wall tot he back, have it absorb MM and all the physical attacks you take.

With an AoI (or two) and PL, you can really make your high AC work for you!

Plus, having your high AC minion at the back reduces the impact Decay will have. ;)

You do realize that AoI is actually much better for tank ? It's weird that from the beginning of CB 2 until now, All the supporter items seem to be only helping tanks.

From what I see, the best use of AoI is to put it on a tank and place it as the First minion, and if you have 4 minions, your tank will be the last to be targeted no matter what, safe from MM and safe from seekers.

Not all the supporter items helped tanks, the RoE was much better for single mages who didn't need any armor, was much more difficult to use on a tank.

And those mages are easily converted into .... TANKS :P I agree that tanks see some favoritism from supporter items ..

MgS sure can't be used by a mage ..

VB? Not too likely ...

AoI is still viable for a mage ...

TSA? I used it on my CoC mage until the nerf .. so no dice there..

JK tattoo?? Well ... you can use it on a mage team, but it sure doesn't help a mage directly :)
