I love that game!!!! I turtle all the time, especially when the computer fights amongst itself... By the way, NSFY, what number of players you usually do? I suck so bad at that game...though am getting better at choosing battles that will go my way...

And no, they never speak to me either.

That game is the devil. I spent seven hours of my day off yesterday playing it. I hate it.

I'm gonna go play it now...

(By the way, you've got to play it on 8 players always! It's so tough when you have to go last of 8!)

Sute - I played against the default the first time - I think it was 7 or 8 - lost to the turtle >_<. Second time I played against 4 and won. My record is 1-1.

My record is like... 10-20, though getting better now that I am very choosey on the games I choose. I play four player, as it offsets the "going last" scenario somewhat...

I would have paid $50 USD just to hear Jon's comment of, "Tell them you are TEH CB OMBUDSMAN! n00bs." Nice one.

Where the hell are the rules to this game?

After two or three games you will catch on. The only "random" thing (as far as I can tell), is the distribution of dice at the end of your turn. You get the number by your color, but where they go is anyone's guess. It sucks if you need them on the front lines but they get dumped on an isolated or far-back territory.

Oh wait, the game order is also random (you will always be the bluish-purple color). That is why I play with only 4 teams, and I am VERY choosy about games I say "yes" to. Even then, I still lose a great, great deal. *smile*

Look for large stacks, especially in concentration or in corners. At least that is what I do. Wait, I just said I lose a lot. Why are you reading this?

Stupid Dicewars game is almost as addicting as CB... I like to play with 8 players, but I think that cyan color cheats a lot... :P

I've been playing this for while - I think it was on Milk And Cookies site. But I've only just managed to win a game for the first time just now....

It definitely cheats!

Its "cheat" is the teams that "turtle" and the teams that "tank" at the most inopportune times...if you are on the wrong side of that behavior, you are doomed. Choose your games carefully. I can win around 75% of my games if I am very choosy before going in, almost 100% if I then end up going first (4-player games).

Also, never fight a two-front war. *smile*

I find that if I'm not first, but I turtle until I'm down to only 1 territory with lots of dice, I can start an offensive and carefully slug it out to win 9 out of 10 times.

Except when the cyan is cheating :P

You can win this game, but it is hard, here are some tips:

• Pick map with small chokepoints - the more the better.
• Always hold a certain small area.
• Don't get overeager, you get points for being able to hold your ground.
• Dont worry if the computer breaks through your front line, they will be weak after they cease attacking.
• The computer's luck only lasts so long, so don't be afraid to attack, eventually your lucky time will come.

I've played once and won once. I will now retire undefeated.

hate the game ... i ve won about 3 games out of 20 XD ... must not play it any more (after a couple more goes of course)

Beware the dark green menace! It spreads like a plague across all lands until all is engulfed in it's cheating rancor!

I'm rather curious if anyone else can claim to match my record of having lost in a 7-player game before you ever even had a turn. That was amusing, and at the same time incredibly depressing.
