Strategy help, stat! (in General)

Thinking about hiring my new tank has complicated my life. So I'm turning to the CB community to help out. Now I've thought about it, and as far as I can see, I have these options (the tank is a light tank):

Beleg's Gloves, Bloodlust, and Displacement Boots
Elven Gloves, Evasion, and Elven Boots
Tulka's Gauntlets, Bloodlust, and Elven Boots
Tulka's Gauntlets, Bloodlust, and Displacement Boots
Beleg's, Archery, and Elven Boots
Beleg's, Archery, and Displacement Boots

Keep in mind I'm not entirely well informed about recent strategies and what not- that's why I'm making this post. If anyone has any idea what i should do with my (pending) Light Tank i would be happy to get some input. I've already had some sound advice to go with the BG's, BL, and DB strategy but I'd like some more input before i make my decision.

Beleg's Gloves, Bloodlust, and Displacement Boots

Check out these players: Sefton, Freed, Shadowsparkle, Vaynard. All have excellent tanks in the more 'light' build.

Remember though, if you go for archery or bloodlust you'll do much better if you focus your cash spend on the respective ranged or melee. Unless you have lots of cash don't spread the cash too much. If you go archery you want the best and biggest bow you can make it and then you only need an average melee. And reverse that if you go bloodlust.

If you think you're going to have the cash then ignore me completely and build up both weapons! :)

Focus as much xp as you can afford into dex.

Keep in mind this too: if you have a tank as your main damage dealer he should be the biggest and/or fastest tank you can make him. There is no point in a wimpy tank.

OK, I've though it over even more, and now I'm thinking I should go bloodlust and a good BoTH, and just use a average compound or something to deal some extra damage in ranged. But now I cant decide: Tulkas, or Elven Gloves? Displacement Boots, or Elven Boots? I'm slightly worried about not having enough dexterity: if I use Tulkas and Displacement Boots the only DX bonus I'll get will be from an EC, and I'm not sure if I should use EC or SC. Indecision, thy name is CB.

Sense you making a BL tank, go SC, EBs, and Tulks. I think cheaper and a good balance to all your stats. Just my opinion though.

Maybe this will help: If i end up choosing to go a "Ranged" tank, I'll keep my mage using Fireball. However, if I decide to follow through with a "Meelee" tank, I'll switch Fireball to Magic Missile so I don't toast my tank in meelee. This means the tank will definitely be my main damage dealer, but might be unprotected in ranged rounds.

additionally, inspect my main character for a different build that seems to work also ;)

Yup, Shade's is as good an example of a good tank as any!
