Oh man, this had me rolling in the aisles!

If counter strike was in real life

PirateKing August 21 2006 2:09 PM EDT

I'd do that too if I drank that much Mountain Dew. :p

Is this video available in another format than flash? It's a bit boring to watch without sound...

IndependenZ August 21 2006 2:16 PM EDT

I didn't have any problems with the sound, but I have to admit I loved the video =) It's so... so... typically counterstrike!

AdminShade August 21 2006 2:52 PM EDT

ghehehe, lame :)

AdminQBVerifex [Serenity In Chaos] August 21 2006 2:56 PM EDT

Bartjan, if you have FF and GM installed then go here: Download Video

Lets you save videos from youtube, metacafe, google video, and many others so you can view them outside the flash viewer they were designed for.

bartjan August 27 2006 6:18 AM EDT

That obviously doesn't work if the only download link offered is for a 'Macromedia Flash Video' ...

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 27 2006 10:23 AM EDT

Yes it does, and that's his point.

bartjan August 27 2006 10:49 AM EDT

My point was the lack of sound for anything flash...
Downloading the file, still in a flashy format, will not magically make the sound appear...

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] August 27 2006 1:24 PM EDT

the utility he's talking about allows you to get an avi file, bypassing flash all together.

bartjan August 27 2006 2:43 PM EDT

Then show me the avi file for this file for example...

The script only allows a user to save the format of whatever the video you're watching has currently. There is no converter in the script. Bart would either have to (a) download a flash player that can play the video with sound, or (b) download a converter from .flv to .avi, or formats similar.
