I know this from a recent stupid mistake. I rented a Katana and made a few upgrades, however I forgot the item was rented, so I lost some cash, not bitter, it was after all my mistake for not checking, so just a word to the wise before you go to upgrade an item, make sure that it is your own item and not a rented one item. Not sure who I rented the item from, you're welcome.

Upgrading? Try accidentally naming a rental.
That was my first experience with the stupidity tax in CB1. Someone (Myth? Stephen?) got their rental exec back with a shiny new Name of Power. :-)
