Amulet of Might +10 (but varies)
NW around 1.5 mil (at +10 stat)
Price around 2 mil or above
Is this item really that useful?
10% more ST when 400% extra ST gives you 200% damage for a price which is quite a lot more to raise most weapons at least some hundreds of damage upgrades higher...
Is this item really that useful?

I don't think it is, but its rare. Thats why its expensive. The AoAC isn't much better...

doesn't the AoM give +2% for every +??

Amulet of Might [0] (+10) 1,495,095
A Trollskin Armor [22] (+35) 1,334,444
I guess just every little (tiny/microscopic/infinitesimal) bit helps? :P

i guess people use it for the extra 10%, but as you put it, its much more worth it too just upgrade the weapon :/
as for the AoAC, that is worth it for high NW walls, as it is cheaper to get 10 AC on that, than on the other items.

Yeah, that is an extra 20% strength, which if damage is linear with relation to str, would approximate to a 10% damage increase. That is quite useful
It's more useful for unarmed combat, since you can't pour NW into that weapon.

Just adds that much more for the non-tattoo tanks. 108% STR bonus if you put 5 mil into each piece of armor.....That's not really all that bad to double your damage. *shrugs*

i think what is being is asked is, is it better to just dump your $$ into your weapons 'x' rather than upgrading the AoM a bit
picture SNK3R's monster tank with a 20% boost to ST and ask yourself if it is worth it.

Oddbird, double ST isn't double damage...
And indeed a +10 AoM gives +20% ST, but still, it doesn't weigh up to the upgrades you can do on your weapon, which is also not affecting your PR that much.

There's also the 'Physical Damage Reduction' aspect of STR, easy as it is to overlook.....it is so unnoticeable that sometimes I wonder how existant it truly is...

It is so existing that a 20 ST minion with a base dagger shouldn't be able to damage a 1 mil ST minion with 0 AC :p
