Question about forging (in General)

If I retired purification II which will have an MPR of 615k when my NUB is over and bought a char with an MPR that is double, will I forge things twice as fast?

AdminShade September 14 2006 10:58 AM EDT

No, forging efficiency isn't linear with MPR.

Would it be worth it to pay 2 mil now and get a bigger char or just forge with the one I have?

AdminShade September 14 2006 2:05 PM EDT

Your decision, it will forge some faster but also costs a bit more money (the 2 mil)

forging efficiency is roughly proportional to sqrt(MPR). So four times the MPR is necessary to forge twice as fast -- twice the MPR gives you 41% better forging ability.
