Looking for a sniper game (in Off-topic)

I need to buy a present for a friend who likes 3d shooter games. He mentioned that he likes being a sniper so are there any sniper games out for PC in the market that's good?

It's an older game(2003 release) and I have no idea how good or bad it may be. But it is worth a looksee at least.

Counter-Strike always had decent sniper rifles, and some maps were perfect for it...it depends if he's looking for a single player or multi player game...

Unreal Tournament 2004 has various online servers that are all about snipers, too.

Just buy him Medal of Honor Allied Assault and have him visit all the sniper fan servers, they rock and pwn :)

Joint Operations, and Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising are great games for military stuff. I played them alot with my friends. Also FarCry is a great military-esque game.

There is another cool future combat 3D Shooter game made by some company in europe, but I don't remember the name of it off hand. It was cool too.

Battlefield 2 has a pretty fun sniper class. Needs a decent computer to run it smoothly.

Americas Army, best free game out there. There are two types of snipers in AA, any many other guns (only multiplayer).
