Maelstrom, would you like to continue with the madness, or hold?

Actually, as Avoid asked in the rules thread:

"I'm not sure about the hold thing. I can understand why someone would hold on the ssbb gamble, but whats the point of holding after winning a first or second round?"

Actually, he's right about the first round...

But in the case of a second round, you win a little more money if you hold, than if you go on, but don't win your 3rd round...

I'm going to take that as a "Barzoo, I'm going to continue with the madness!"

Yeah, I'd be crazy if I didn't want to continue with the madness ;)

But it's still not too clear. If I hold, I get 100k. If I don't hold, and if I get the next one, then I get 200k. But if I don't get another one, I don't get anything, right? And only one person can get each one, right?

You can win up to 3 rounds.

If you win 1 and hold, you get 100k.

If you win one and go on, but don't win a 2nd, you still get 100k.

If you go on and win a 2nd, and hold, you win 200k.

If you win a 2nd, and go on, but don't win a 3rd, you get 250k (for at least trying).

If you go on and win a 3rd, you must hold, and get 500k if you don't gamble.

If you gamble and lose, you only get 300k.

If you gamble and win, you get 1 mil.

The only way you end up with nothing is if at any time you "break" a hold by trying to win a round after you've said "I hold".
