About the rarest of rare ammo: Explosive Shots (in General)

Explosive shots are real good when used in the Sling of Death, they are equivalent to a FB mage. Unfortunately, these explosive shots are never available in the store where they're supposed to spawn. This is quite a pity because they are real good in terms of effect, since they target all opponent minions in one shot.

Also, campers of the new CB2 age buy whatever explosive shots do crop up infrequently. Thus, whatever rare shots are available are carted off and hoarded, which beats the very purpose of selling them for use in fighting.

Basically, the principle for rare ammo must be that it is an upmobile version of commonly spawned items in store. However, explosive shot is way too different from iron shots to be considered an upmobile version of the same, since it targets all minions at once.

The solution is to make explosive shots as common as iron shots, i.e., make sure they regularly spawn in the store to the extent that campers and hoarders are cheated of their intent. An upmobile version of explosive shots, say slayer shots, with for example 15x0 capability, can be termed rare ammo that can spawn in store or auction at the infrequent intervals that explosive shots do at the moment.

Unfortunately, these explosive shots are never available in the store where they're supposed to spawn.

They are supposed to spawn when they spawn, not at any other time...

And CB still is a free market, so of course people buy them and resell them for some profit, I'd do the same if I could get them... :D

Not entirely correct. Explosive shots will solve my problem, they will target all minions. Slayer shots are the device to solve Jon's problem of listing which ammo as "rare". My suggestion is to make explosive shots common ammo since they target all minions at once, and the common versions do not have that ability.

Slayer shots will also be bought by auction campers and resold for more money, so they don't solve your problem, so why bring them up?

Shade, they definately *aren't* common ammo. If they were common, when I pop to the wepaon store in a minute I'd see Ex Shot for sale.

They are new, too good and the demand outwieghs the supply. If there aren't any in the store when I want to buy them, they're rare.

It's camping returns. Google toolbar and all.

I'd hate, hate, to see them spawn back in the auction house, because I want Ex Shots, but without upping the supply, they are too good to be common.

The real problem here is not the spawn rate but the networth of these things.
If you keep them at base you need at least 8000 of them to sell them in auctions.
So campers that get these a lot can't sell them untill they have 8000 or more.

And this seriously effects the supply, they are not avaible in small quantities like specialty arrows which are sold in auctions by the auctioneer.
If the explosive shot would be sold by the auctioneer the supply would be more steady instead of huge chunks at the time

I'd also want a never ending supply of cheap slayer bolts, but that's not going to happen either...

Ex Shots are supposed to be common, but atm they are far from it.

Just popped into the weapon store. Bolts, Arrows, Iron Shots and Rounded Pebbles galore, but no Ex Shots.

I'll either have to camp for them, or wait for a camper to want to sell them.

Though what's the use of such powerful ammo being common for every stupid hobbit to use it on 4 minion parties? It has a reason to be wanted, remember ;)

Is there a single player with clout who intends to use special ammo for anything but defense?

If Ex Shots are common enough, I'm planning to use them as standard.

Make the rare, and no, I'll only use them for defense.

Even if they are common, I'm still going to make a set of 50 x 2500 for defense. ;)

I want them to be common. I want them to be available every time I pop into the store. But I can't see that happening. :(

First off, any camper who would need a googlebar highlight tool to spot Explosive shots, in all the ammo, is not a camper. They are so easy to spot, that I would laugh at anyone who calls themselves a camper and yet uses the tool bar to highlight Explosive.

The real problem here is simply spawn rate and deman. Check for yoursef, only one group popped in the last 6 hours and it was almost 6 hours ago HINT that means they should be popping soon.

So either ask for an increase in the frequency of the spawn rate, or dump them into auctions and let everyone fight for them. In the end, you will STILL find that if you rely on specialty ammo for your strat, you will fail eventually (or go broke)

Why not just make them rare like Slayers and Seekers...have them go directly to auctions.

Sefton's right - just look at the store purchase log. If there hasn't been any respawning recently, then there will be soon.

I've camped a few Exp. shots myself already. I would indeed love for them to be more easily available, but I once liked the thrill of camping and this is a small dosage of that.

And why should there be *four* different types of ammunition for Slings? You've got your basic weak and worthless Pebbles, your decent and most commonly used Iron Shot, and then your very powerful, rather rare Explosive Shot.

Its pretty simple really, just make them spawn in auctions again.

have to agree the spawn rate is rubbish for them (ive not seen any in there yet) and would like it upped a bit .. maybe not to make it super common as it does more damage than say iron shots but a bit more than 3 times per day considering all the SoD's that are being used out there at the moment

If the frequency is increased then the cost is controlled by the store .. if they go to auction then the community determines the worth. I suggest that they spawn in auction AND with decent frequency ... not as much as seekers and slayers, but more frequently than 6 sets in a day. ... maybe have 20 set in a day ... ?

This is what's so great about CB - a month or 2 ago, you couldn't give the things away...

cb community is ace though... i got given 3 lots after asking how to camp ... still have a set left that i was going to post up in my reply above if someone hasnt tried them but didnt want to get fined even though i was going to give them away

I've found it pretty easy to get explosive shots from the store, and I don't even need them. If there's anyone who wants to try them, and hasn't been able to catch them yet, I've got a set with your name on them. Just send me a CM...
