UC (in General)

About what should I train UC to? I heard from someone to train it like a DD spell. Any help? Ty

To get the best out of it UC needs to be trained quite high. Depends on what bonus giving gears you have, but if you treat it the same way you would FB you can't go wrong.

Is it a linear growth model post weapon damage x changes?

QBJohnnywas October 6 2006 7:20 AM EDT

Not entirely sure how the weapons changes affected UC, and Jon hasn't been that clear on it - no surprises there!

Damage certainly went up, but from what I've seen it still grows in the same way it did, that is cheaply with regard to xp at the bottom, getting more expensive as it gets bigger.

IndependenZ October 6 2006 7:21 AM EDT

Erm, I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but no, it doesn't level up linearly. You have to invest more and more amounts of XP into it to gain another level. To go from (82) to (83) will require a whole lot more XP than to go from (12) to (13).

Flamey October 6 2006 7:23 AM EDT

no inde, he meant is (1) still equivalent to x1 +1. i don't think anyone knows for sure if its the same, but + should remain unaffected.

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] October 6 2006 7:46 AM EDT

a UC of (1) used to be a x2+1 weapon, but with the change to the upgrade costs of weapons this should obviously be different.

QBOddBird October 6 2006 8:35 AM EDT

*shrugs* Jon said he updated UC when he changed the weapon 'x' upgrade costs to be linear, so it is obviously different.

But Flamey's right, that'd leave the PTH part unchanged.

Herbstwind [The Knighthood] October 6 2006 9:36 AM EDT

PTH is left unchanged for weapons as well
