Max tattoo (in General)

Did anyone else's MT get all borked? Mine is quite odd, to say the least.

No idea whether there is something wrong with it but I'd love to try get my tat to level 576,742 :)

Did yours go down? I thought for sure I lost about 100k off mine.

I thought mine was in the 500k's before but it might have been a little over 600k, the difference wasn't that noticable for me if it did change.

yeah im not sure if my tatoo has gained levels but my max tatoo has definatly dropped ... on the good side my tatoo is now bigger than me

My max tattoo level is below my tattoo, but my tattoo is still gaining levels like it was before my max level dropped... could be that the displayed level has a glitch, but the game still calculates it correctly.

Nah, I just calculated my tattoo size from the battle stats. It's exactly 1,200,504, which is my Max Tattoo on the nose (at the time of calculation).

My maxtat dropped by around 100k, I was above 2mil, 1.913 now

My stats dropped as well... I was over 1mil str/dex a few days ago, haven't retrained, or reequipped anything

My tatoo is 1.6mil named, and max tattoo is 1.9mil

after running some numbers, looks like the 4% naming bonus isn't being factored, and may even be factoring negatively?

Displayed Str. ST: 963,925/68,342

My tattoo is 1,603,000 named. I have 68,342 trained str. and a +13 HoE.

1,603,000 x .5 = 801,500 + 68342 = 869,842 x 1.13 (hoe) = 982,921

Subtract 4% from tattoo lvl = str of 946,693? That isn't quite right either... Not sure what is going on, but I am positive I lost str since the weekend or so.


Just to simplify, I unequiped everything but tattoo... ST: 853,031/68,342 should be str of 869,842 with no naming
or 901,902 with 4% naming bonus

tatoo has gained 1k levels .. max tatoo has stayed the same

definate bug .. but i think its that the max tatoo level is wrong (it got reset but the tatoo didnt but the max tatoo level still thinks its higher .. my max tatoo level was close to 520k before the reset)

My tat is above my posted max by about 250k. When I calculate the effective level of the tat, it comes out to exactly what max tattoo posts.

Death Company: your tattoo's level and max tattoo have nothing to do with each other.

your Max tattoo is calculated based on your MPR instead. MPR up = max tattoo up.


On a side note: perhaps max tattoos were bugged all along and are right now? ;)

I can't seem to beat blackmage or Dogs of War anymore with this tattoo stuff. Does anyone know if this is going to be fixed?

I am really looking forward to this being fixed.

The interval that it increases doesn't really matter. It's better for you if you increase on as fine a scale as possible, but since your oppoent advances at the same scale, it's a bit of a wash.


The big thing is the max level of the tattoo. If it got nerfed again, I need to dump this strat now, as I just can't keep up anymore.
