novice: you should wash your hands, though on them is no blood...
multi's come in very various ways, some we know, some we don't recognize...

aww... he seemed pretty cool. The only drawback to the internet, is the masks people wear. (Well... that and 40-yr olds trying to hook up with 12-yr-olds. Or 40-yr-old, 400 lb. dweebs trying to come up with the next chat abbreviation so that they have_some_sense of accomplishment in their lives, altho, i guess those both have to do with masks as well...)

The title of the post refers to the fact that xseth/continuum was actually a multi of an older player Pummel.
(A multi is a player who has multiple accounts - which is obviously not allowed. Or multiple players playing from the same account.)
Thanks, and how do you know a player is a multi?

some multis just let everyone know they are.
others can be spotted by using the same IP address, others can be spotted by behavior or other systems. :)
that mean i can't log at ashilizator house?

Sharing IP by itself is not a problem. Many do (sometimes without even knowing each other). Sharing IP *and* each others items, for example, is.
it also means you don't ever want to play someone else's account, or let them do the same..
My last post.
Can I, or it's better not.
As long as there are no one sided transfers or account sharing, there is not reason not to. I've played at my cousins house once or twice, and bought and sold items with him. We've always tried to keep a PR thread if there was $US involved so that people could see why items were sent. It's much harder to appear to be a multi than you would think...

Yes you can log in at another users house, on his PC and right after him if you want. Just make sure that you and the other users never have any one-sided transfers between yourselves or it will look very fishy and bring you to the attention of the admins.
My wife and I play from the same pc at home - it's not a problem.
thanks, that's all I wanted to know

/me was right!
so, can i loan a buddy from mine items....? He is new, and i got katana's other swords and such laying around... that i was to give him. If i trade it to him when he is at his house? Proving were on different IP's is that fine...
or is he just screwed over for having loging on at my schools server (im not positive if the IPs are the same)
If not tell me what i can do
new players get enough money the only help you really need to give is explaining how the store, auctions, and rentals works...
Loaning someone an item would likely not cause problem (I'm talking about using the Loaning aspect of xfers here, not sending it and just claiming it was a loan), the key points here are one sided transfers, and account sharing both of which are EASY to avoid.
so i can loan him an item for a week... or buy a tat... and loan it to him (thusly just having him lvl it for me and being a nice guy for loaning :D)?
