No, he's not joking. He's saying that they're made of limestone concrete made through advanced technical manipulation of raw limestone and other materials, which would be much more efficient than the traditional story of 'lots of manpower'. Very interesting, considering that another paper was recently published which seems to confirm his theory!

What gets me is taking this long to notice . That "chariot of the gods" guy said the easter island totems were probably cement and he made a good argument for it ,no one thought to check the pyramids back then?

After having watched a few of those shows about the Aztecs, I wouldn't be surprised if we found an ancient B2 Bomber buried underneath some of these massive monuments. BTW: Yes I realize Egypt and Aztecs are vastly different.

One of the scary things to think about: Ancient civilizations that were capable of making some rather miraculous structures have a lot of things in common with modern day civilization. They simply didn't have as much time as we did to develop technology. Just think if the Aztecs or Mayans had been left alone to build and discover new technology. We could be living on the moon or have spaceships by now.
