Amulet of focus - How do they work? (in General)

I was looking through my play-to-play and found that my amulet of focus doesn't work the way its supposed to, at least I think it doesn't.

The following shows the AS casted by Rogub and the resulting HP due to the AS:

The strange thing is Unajocho has an amulet of focus +9 and Rogub has an amulet of focus +5 which means Unajocho should get +27% increase in AS while Rogub should get +15% increase in AS. Is that right? Also, does the caster of AS get boosted by an amulet of focus equipped on it?

It is showing post battle stats....did you lose any HP?

Also AoF's increase is only affecting the minion wearing it.

And last, AS casts at 40% or so on a 3 minion team. So 40% of its level is converted to temporary HPs.

Maybe that'll help you.

The stats shown above are for a fight where I didn't lose any HP at all.

The AS that was casted is shown above: "Rogub cast Ablative Shield on all friendly Minions (1379)"

What is the trained level of your AS?

The stats for AS are now:
Ablative Shield: 3,033/928 (1,526)

And it will have this effect:
Rogub cast Ablative Shield on all friendly Minions (1432)

according to the Wiki:

With 3 minions you get 3 * 40% Ablative Shield efficiency. Total is 120% effectiveness.

And 3033 * 0.4 = 1213

So you are getting a bonus from the AoF. You can calculate for yourself whether or not the one showing is the 27% or the 15%. =)

try to remove the amulets and write down the post battle HP, then put them on and calculate it again. the difference should be visible.

I did what Shade suggested and I'm now more confused :p

With amulet of focus:

Can someone tell me what's going on? Why is my minion, Rogub casting different amounts of AS with and without the amulet of focus?

The AS effect displayed is the effect as witnessed by the last minion. If your AoF is on your last minion, you will see a difference with it on and off. If the AoF is on a different minion, you will see the same effect with it on and off.

This is a display issue only. Minions wearing an AoF will experience an enhanced AS regardless of party position. Likewise, minions without one will not experience an enhanced AS, regardless of position.

Position only determines which AS gets displayed -- the enhanced one or the normal one.

ok, I think I roughly get what you mean. So the AS casted is not necessarily the amount each minion gets unless they do not have any amulet of focus equipped. I did a little calculation and it seems to be correct. The question is how do we do the calculations for the % increased? The amulet of focus of minion 1 is +9 and on Rogub is +5.

It's 3% per +. So the first gets 27% more HP and the second 15%. ;)

also be aware tho, while trying to raise a tank on a 3 minion team, that AoF also effects the EC cast on your tank, raising it by 27% as well.

I know that EC will get amplified but that's not really a worry for me. Eventually I'll stop training DEX and focus most of my experience on STR and UC.

Did your oponant cast DM ? That will also be amplified by AoF as i understand it....

I believe DM is not amplified as stated in changelog and wiki.
