Is it possible to pay with paypal on Amazon.com / .co.uk ? (in Off-topic)

Or do I have to find out another way to pay for things there?

I think only if you have a paypal debit card.

Paypal used to have an option to generate a "virtual" mastercard number that you could use to shop, but I can't find that anymore.

Here is the link to it:

https://www.paypal.com/vdebit

I believe I read somewhere just yesterday that they have disabled it for the time being.
If you dig around in the help section at Paypal, you can find FAQ's about it here:

https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_help&eloc=0&loc=3334&source_page=_home&flow=

Most of the links don't work when clicked though. Not sure if they are revamping it, or removing it.

I just realized links to Paypal make some people squeamish.
If you don't trust the links, search the help at Paypal using the term:

'virtual debit card'

That will get you to the page I have linked to above.

It's already solved, thanks :)

Cool, when I went to /vdebit and picked walmart it popped up the virtual card number just fine. So I guess it still works, for now.

Just on slashdot: PayPal Launches Virtual Debit Card... Seems to be Windoze/IE only :(

Worked for me in FF/win.

Yeah, I saw the /. story at work today and couldn't post.
Looks like I stumbled onto them getting it going, it didn't work for me last night.
