I am the owner of ''Lendemain de veille'', a x470(+36) Morgul Hammer.
I should probably upgrade the thing as I feel it is insufficient at my level, but can never bring myself to do it, as I like to have some dough lying around (you never know) :P
BUT, when I will indeed put my money at work on it, i'd like to know how to efficiently spend every penny.
So, what I wanna get here is a general rule of thumb of the X/+ ration I should stick to when upping.
I could indeed go take a look at the status of the top 50 or so MHs to get an idea, but...I like rules, consistency.
That`s why If you could give me a hand, fellow Cber, as to find how to keep my lil beauty smashing, by providing an effective ratio equation, or any consul on the matter, really, I`d truely appreciate it.
I thank you in advance for any responses, helpful or not :P
(Oh, and if there is already a thread done about the same exact subject, please flame me and then point me to it, my earlier search did not yield any satisfying results.)
Oh, and I realize now the thread title is rather retarded, and could provide better explanation of its content.
I am sorry.

+ to +51 as soon as possible, after that bring the X up to 2500 or so. Then upgrade the + to +101
Very concise answer, I like that, thanks a lot :)

Shade's answer is good. But I will add a different view. Will you be using it with a ToA or not? I currently am using (and have been for the last six months) a Morg - "London Calling". It is x1751 and +31.
If you are using a ToA then that +31 becomes much bigger thanks to the ToA bonus to PTH. Currently my ToA is about 700k in level (at about 450k level you get about a bonus of 40 to the PTH). I hit doubles and triples with the Morg. I'm not yet into quad strikes, but they are not far off.
If you are using a ToA then all you need to spend on is damage. At least until you are fighting in the upper levels, where weapons are 100 or more on the +. But the upper levels are a different place indeed.
(The only reason to spend more on the + if you are using a ToA is to defeat evasion).
*This only applies if you are using a ToA*
:)
Thanks for the detailed answer :)
I do not intend on using a ToA for now though, because I am trying to get something done with my Ice Familiar XD (yeah, I know I am probably shooting myself in the foot with the bugger, heh, but at least I use something no one else does)
I'll see up to where I can climb with it, and then I'll strongly consider a ToA. (+to pth is a great asset, and very appealing to me right now)
I will keep what you said in mind :)
