Is or is not asking for a loan in chat allowed?
Simple yes or no but the admins only please!
My personal feelings on this are that there are 2 active threads for loans right now, and there is the FS/WTB forum.

It's not black or white.
Nobody wants to kill conversation in chat, indeed conversation is kinda what chat is all about. Personally I have no problems with someone coming into chat and asking for a loan. I even have no issues with someone announcing, "hey, I'm looking to purchase an ELB and was wondering if anyone is willing to sell."
I do however get annoyed when the person who just asked for a loan does exactly the same after only x lines of chat has passed, and again, and again...
The trouble is, if it's not black or white then it's grey, and if it's grey one chat op is going to think 10 lines is the limit and the other is going to think 11 lines and then there will be threads about how the chat ops are a bunch of losers who are killing the game, the sky is falling and the world is gonna end... You get the picture.
My point - does it really matter? If it's obviously flooding then it's obviously flooding and should not be tolerated. If it's occasional, hell who cares - let it slide...
