Why stop with the HoC effecting Co and Decay? (in General)

Why not let it allow Melee and UC users to make a Melee Attack in the last round of Ranged combat as well?

Then what is the point?

Give everyone a 5% bonus to rewards... Give everyone a 5% penalty to rewards.... everyone remains unchanged.

It is a choice.

Use the HoC or the HoE or the HoD.

For me, one point of AC means End of Days hits me for 50k more damage or there abouts. So on my tank, I cannot use the HOC or I lose to an archer in just 3 rounds with all of 2.4M HP, 410AC backed by the largest TOE in the game.

Exactly as PM said. Even throw a Corn in there for a Junction using E. ;)

I think Jon thinks CoC is fine as is, but this was a way of giving it something to make it attractive to potential users, after all the discussion recently.

But melee tanks already get over twenty rounds in. If you're not killing during that time then either you're not hitting hard enough, or you're not ready to kill the person you're attacking.

Give them that last round of ranged and you're back to square one for most people.

Apart fromt he HoE using Tanks to get 100% increased STR with thier AoM. ;)

Trade off. An extra round of damage, or 20 rounds of increased Damage from a igher STR?

The point is that if the HoC granted an additional round for everything, then you're either using a HoC or playing a round behind everyone else. It borders on eliminating sensible choice.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] March 3 2007 3:44 AM EST

But giving the extra round to *everything* bar Melee is ok?

My point is that you should be pushing in the other direction. Making the usefulness of the item more specific rather then more general.

MrC [DodgingTheEvilForgeFees] March 3 2007 4:01 AM EST

My take on this is that melee users were already able to compete.

CoC however was, how was it put? A knife in a gunfight. Or the more creative "It's like bringing a chainsaw to a gunfight! But you get hurt a lot when you use the chainsaw! And you start 300 yards away, and they have a high-powered rifle. And also a hammer."

Speaks for itself really.

Decay didn't really need a buff, but I'm sure Jon had a reason.

The point is, the change makes CoC slightly more usable (although I'm sure most will say the AMF backlash still makes it weak). It was previously considered by most as too weak to use, I guess Jon agreed with that line of thought. Melee however has always been usable.

Why make it more powerful just because CoC was helped by the recent changes?
