Your Avg. CB income? (in General)

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 25 2007 6:46 PM EDT

Just curious to see how much Fighters make on average compared to Forgers.

I make roughly 925k a week, nearly 4 mil a month as a forger.

So, How much cb do you make in a day? Week? Month?

QBRanger March 25 2007 6:49 PM EDT

I make 50k a day after buying ammo and BA.

DrAcO5676 [The Knighthood III] March 25 2007 6:57 PM EDT

I lose 50k a day by forging my own stuff... make a few thousand with my farms.... buy and sell a few things in auction... so all in all I lose money >.<

QBOddBird March 25 2007 8:06 PM EDT

When I was fighting, I made around 300k a day.

Now that I forge, I forge around 300-350k/day - at 75%, that's between 225-260k/day.

[RX3]Cotillion March 25 2007 8:26 PM EDT

around 220-250k a day forging at 70%

QBOddBird March 25 2007 8:28 PM EDT

If I'm not wrong, and I do not think I am, forging is based off what your fight rewards anyways - so shouldn't you simply be able to look at the Stats >> User Clan >> Forging for 24 Hours to see what we'd be making if we weren't forging?

At least, it seems so in my mind. ^_^

RedWolf March 25 2007 8:29 PM EDT

I just ran through 160 BA solely for the purpose of this thread. And I got $17,162. But I rarely fight, these days :-P

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 25 2007 8:43 PM EDT

Good Point OB, didn't really think about that but, do we assume that is fighting a person with an average PR in regards to yours?

I'm also more so interested in fighters income.

{CB1}Lukeyman March 25 2007 9:45 PM EDT

I get about 40k per 160 ba

Tyriel [123456789] March 25 2007 9:56 PM EDT

About $34,820 per 160 BA at ~300k MPR.

975k a week doing 4 sets per day.

I usually only do 3 sets per day, though. :/

The big advantage fighters have over forgers is gaining EXP, though.

Daz March 26 2007 3:37 AM EDT

In flames used to get me $30-$40k per 160 BA, which ended up at about 200k per day. I just made a new character, and I'm getting not much yet :(
In flames seems to get $3-$4k per day as a farm.

QBJohnnywas March 26 2007 3:56 AM EDT

About a million a week; although if I'm paying off a loan I'll fight a bit harder. I've gotten about 1.75 million in a week at times like that.

DiabloSpawn March 26 2007 4:50 AM EDT

Just under 100k/160 BA, that's with average challenge bonus 90%, clan bonus 14% and NUB of 169%. But I usually use it to buy BA so about 50k profit a day...

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] March 26 2007 5:04 AM EDT

I make between 25k-50k profit a day after ammo and BA if I fight most of my daily battles. I do miss around 300 a day due to sleep though.

AdminG Beee March 26 2007 5:29 AM EDT

~250k / day after ammo with my NCB char.
Never bought a single BA, but couldn't afford to buy them all anyway given that my daily spend on BA needs to be just under $500k and it's rising fast.
Currently I'm pouring every $ I make into trying to keep my bow as close to the WA as possible. I'm fighting a losing battle and if it weren't for me selling off some old equipment I have from my days with Lorenzo the WA gap would be growing daily too. I won't be able to keep it close for any more than another few days and then it will start to grow.

Impossible for me to generate enough cash to maintain a BA buy or a single weapon to my WA.

The advantages for sinking USD into my character are obvious and tempting but I'm trying to resist...

Kong Ming March 26 2007 5:34 AM EDT

I used to earn about 50k per 160BA with First Strike. So about 200k everyday if I can burn 4 sets of 160. I'm closing in on 50k with my new character, already seeing $300+ per win.

Unappreciated Misnomer March 26 2007 7:03 AM EDT

does rentals count? that used to meake me per week just alone, 500k, and as a forger about 5-6 mil a month.

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 26 2007 10:39 PM EDT

well, in conclusion of this thread.

Forging = profit

Fighting = breaking even

So, no more complaining forgers! :-)

Tyriel [123456789] March 26 2007 10:43 PM EDT

You do have to take into account that:

1) Fighters get XP.

2) Fighters need money for gear/ammo.

3) Not everybody buys BA.

4) Some people may/may not be NUB/NCB.

Xenko March 27 2007 8:05 AM EDT

"well, in conclusion of this thread.

Ummm... that's not accurate in the least. I easily make more money fighting than forging (assuming charging 70% rate), with challenge bonus ~80% (MPR ~600k). And with fighting I also get XP!

Looking at few numbers I have, assuming I could charge 100% for forging, then my profit from forging would approximately equal my fight rewards, but I wouldn't gain any XP of course.

Xenko March 27 2007 8:07 AM EDT

Oh, and my average from fighting is somewhere in the $250 per BA range I'm estimating.

Kong Ming March 27 2007 8:10 AM EDT

I agree fully. Fighting allows you to earn more money than forging (at 70% rate).

DiabloSpawn March 27 2007 8:36 AM EDT

I play down the middle...sometimes I burn 160 BA into forging an item, saves me alot of blacksmith fees but only dents my XP earning for the day/week a little!

Lochnivar March 27 2007 9:00 AM EDT

Ah the advantages of being a mage.
I usually clear 1.4mil/week (no BA buying)

My only costs are for equiping an as yet unpurchased second minion.

That said, forging for yourself can give excellent NW/BA increases.

QBOddBird March 27 2007 9:16 AM EDT

"well, in conclusion of this thread.

Actually, I think if you read the thread a little more closely, you'll see that fighters make much better money than forgers - they just choose to spend it on BA and weapons/ammo. If a fighter fought all day without buying his BA, just like a forger, he would make approx. 145% of what he would've made forging (taking forging fees into account).

And then there's that whole thing where they get experience and wacky times.

And I as a forger don't complain about it - in fact, I absolutely love forging and that in itself is reason enough to choose forging over fighting - but I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of boost for people forging for profit, and so I'll keep making suggestions of I think of them that could bring that about.

But forging for one's self is great. You lose a little MPR, you gain a lot of weapon NW. Just tag on a RoE the next day and make up what you lost ;)

AdminG Beee March 27 2007 9:37 AM EDT

You can never catch up what you've lost.

Xenko March 27 2007 11:08 AM EDT

I agree with that... other than the fact that I am not a forger due to the (currently) better rewards offered by fighting. I do, however, love the idea (and the art) of forging, and maybe one day I will become a full time forger....

Sir Leon [Soup Ream] March 27 2007 5:55 PM EDT

i said that to encourage the community to disapprove me.

It's interesting to see that when threads open regarding Fighters making far better rewards than forgers the forgers are quick to be flamed and told to get over it etc etc.

However, when a forger says that the two are even...The community begs to differ saying fighting surpasses forging.

So, "In conclusion:" When creating threads in cb use a little psychology and word your posts correctly. :-)

( I thought about this at school while in psychology class btw hehe)
