My rant: why it is good to see players like AN|M4L leave (in General)

All I have to say is good riddance. While I was not cheated out of money, poor communications and his inability to run an honest sale have made me somewhat glad to hear he's leaving.

Here's a list of things you should not do in a FS/WTB thread:
1) Let someone have the high bid on an item for almost 3 days then sell it no wait to someone for 100k more. Why leave me in waiting for that long if you want to sell it right away?
2) Send a buyer a CM saying they have won the item and to send the cash and it's yours. However, follow up later with another CM saying he missed a CM and has sold it to someone else. But hey, "You do not have to send the money now!"
3) Be fair- if you have a buy now price, list it. A committed bidder will often be willing to go higher. And even though "AUCTIONS END IN 6 HOURS", no more bidding is allowed. I suppose you are only shooting yourself in the foot by doing so. But you also create unhappy fellow players.

I guess that's all I have to say. Whether it was incompetence, or just plain greed, Animal has shown truly why you should avoid FS/WTB altogether and just go to Auctions. The players are the best part of CB, but sometimes people can the most aggravating part of it as well.

He's most likely a multi anyway.

We have no proof that he is or was a multi. To state such in the forums is pure garbage.

Accusations are the way horrible rumors get started.

What he is with his sale was not right, but that is why the auction system is in place.

The FS threads are non binding.

IMO, even if you send over the money and he does not send the item to you, as long as you get your money back, no foul play has occurred.

I agree, no foul play occurred, I just had to vent off my frustrations with actions that seemed to be in bad faith or poor judgement.

The point? Not really a point to make at all, just to rant. Perhaps to get a few other people to read about my bad experience, and if ever they have a sale, to be considerate of these sorts of issues.

Nonsensical Knight, IDK, general seemed like a good place to put this. Off-topic could have worked too I suppose, but this seemed game related. I guess if it's a problem it could be moved.

I never cheated you of a sale, i was going through my highest bids and sending everyone a CM to tell them they won their bids and to send the money, and as i look at my CMs i have a bid for 100k mroe than you on the item. In other words, he won, yes i understand you came back 24 hours later after i closed it and sent the items to them all ready, and said you put 100k on top of that, but i had all ready sold it. Im sorry you didnt win the bid.

Also, I am tired of this Multi stuff, i am NOT a multi and not a cheater, I am sorry for those who thought i was cheating somehow for how fast i grew, may be i had a good strategy, yes i was an archer, but i didnt incorporate what other archers applied in thier strategies, i made an archer that could finish a team off in ranged, but if not, would DEFINITELY bring them down in melee. NO DM applied. I have talked to many people about all this talk of me being a multi, including an admin that I WENT TO, and I am tired of it, if you have a problem, come to me, NO I AM NOT DAWG, and i am tired of hearing that.

I am getting married, moving intoa new house, and taking a 1 month trip to europe, that is why i am selling my account, and yes i definitely hope to be back, hopefully in august, but ATM i can not play the game irght now, i have too much going on and i am in need of some money for the trip to Europe.

There is my story, so if you want to keep calling me a multi, then all i can say is get a life...

By the way, im not directing any anger at anyone specifically, i have made friends on this game and loved playing, and want to thank Ranger, Mikel, and PM for all and any help they gave me with my strategy or anything else. I lovd playing but regretably cannot take the time to play again.

Okay, just one last response, then I am going to forget this thread. Yes, I was not able to log in for practically a day. However, I had the winning bid nearly three days, upon which time you sent me a chatmail that I won the item. And then, 6 minutes later, you sent a second CM that you sold it to someone else. Not 24 hours as you imply, not even at the end of the sale which was in 4 more hours according to your thread post, but the instant you saw his bid.

I never did claim to be cheated out of any items or money, I merely had to rant about what was bugging me.

Its was me who made the bid for the adam. I also cm-ed AN|M4L as to why he started another thread when the previous one ended. He said he will end the bidding and send the items in the afternoon so I made the bid for both the EC and the adam, thinking that he will update it before he end the bidding. Oh well...

There are multiple people by the name of "Ranger". I was banned for defending one of them (and I'd do it again without a second thought). "The Ranger" is another.

i did just notice, he did say Ranger and PM in there, not just Ranger.

Last login at February 12 2007 7:47 AM EST. And even before that Zach completely disappeared from the chat. It'd be weird if he was thanking Zach, considering Zach would most likely not have been on for those 11 days.
