I've heard of a few mule characters getting auto-retired recently because of the bad score/pr ratio thing. Just happened to Angel_of_Death. It'd be good if this was changed to detect user activity so it will only happen if the account is inactive as well.
no it wouldn't
the autoretire is there to keep unplayed characters from throwing the score ladder too far out of whack, it doesn't matter if their owner is active with someone else or not
if this bothers you, don't create mules

Or don't create minions on mules ;)
Or read your email ;)

Or have a decent strategy on your mule.
I like a mage team as it has little or no NW and generally can keep a score/PR ratio of over 1 easily.
bartjan i didnt get an email thats why i was surpriced about it, if i knew i would of taken items of it to prevent this

I entirely put the blame for that on hotmail...
well i still get punished for it and i dont find that fair, hope i can still unretire him good some good stuff on it
you can wait till the unretire option comes up (3 or 4 days) or you can pay to have an admin do it.
just unretired him so im good for now, but i like a email next time but it wont happen again i think

Then use a *reliable* email provider...
Did you check your junk e-mail folder?
I'm also quite surprised, I use my AOL e-mail account and all CB related e-mails come through fine on there and we all know about AOL's unproven 'reputation'.
bartjan i use hotmail, i always get an email when ppl react to a post i made so yea hotmail is reliable

Hotmail silently discards lots of mails it thinks is spam, but clearly isn't. It does not even report back to the sender that the mail is lost. That is what makes it very unreliable.
i never had probs with hotmail before, a year ago i gotten a mail about 1 of my chars but now i didnt, ive use hotmail for many years now and never had a problem with it
when i mail doesnt get delivered or that email dont exist i do get a mail about that
