I don't want to elaborate on it but... you're weird, Sut.
It seems like an average of 5 "congratulations"-type threads appear every week. Is it really necessary?
It will be when it's your name in the title.........
Just be glad your congrats thread isn't coupled with a character reset.
I don't think it will be. I mean, I don't believe there's anything with a congratulations... on occasion. But it seems like there's way more than necessary.

FYI,
For the month of April there have been 2 congrats type of threads in the Off-Topic forums.
That is about 1 every 5 days.

So, let me understand -- we've got folks who are tired of the conflict that seems to crop up from time to time, and now we have someone who thinks there are too many "Congratulations" threads?
I don't get it.
As far as back and forth, I don't think you have to worry about any more of that from me. I only got in front because of a minion purchase. Last I checked, that is no longer an option. *smile*
Hm, and I thought those two things were unrelated. Or are you saying "congratulations"-type posts are the opposite of conflict? And again, if you would have read, I said there's nothing wrong with a "congratulations" occasionally, but it seems there are more than needed, over the most trivial things. Maybe next someone will congratulation someone else for being able to tie their shoes.
And PM, I like how you tried to turn my exaggerated number which I specifically said "feels like" into a literal statement so you could prove me wrong.
Its an awful thing to see what is intended as an upbeat, positive thread, brought down by a troll, if the congrats threads bother you, don't click the link to open them.

Personally I think congratulations threads are cool and it's a perfect opportunity to try out a new "congratulations strategy".
Over the years I've tried many.
There's been the basic "well done",
to the more flamboyant "touchdown!"
to the relatively low key "thumbs up",
or simple "balloons".
But I like them all and they always mean the same - job well done ! Don't ever try to take them away or I'll set Bruce on you ! (and he's even harder than Chuck (but let's not start that here))

Sickle, relax... I was asking for clarification, geesh...
I felt as if you were saying my Congratulations was in some way non-genuine or sarcastic. I assure you it was not, and yes, I do think a sincere congratulations is the opposite of petty conflict. The very exact opposite. I congratulated PM because he caught up to me quickly, and I won't get near him again (barring a serious change in gameplay by one or both of us). I have ALWAYS had the utmost respect for MPR (I think it is the most important raw stat, hands down). So, I wanted to extend a happy thought to the person who has bettered me in it. I think it is cool and wonderful.
PM's response to you was completely in-line also. You are the one who said _nothing_ on-topic in your post (you could have AT LEAST done a "Congratulations, but..."). Now you are completeing the hijack by standing on some sort of non-existent high-ground, accusing PM of exaggerating?
Like I keep trying to say to folks -- sometimes silence is golden. You shouldn't have said a thing on the thread if it was going to be entirely negative.

One would think a congrats thread would be the one safe haven from conflict.
Guess I thought wrong.
But thanks to all those who replied in a constructive way.
Perhaps I will hold onto some xp or unlearn my Haste giving Sut the top spot back. Then we can have more congrats threads. J/K.

Lol PM... Please don't unlearn anything just for the sake of "back and forth"! *smile*
I guess I can't disagree with a thread without being labeled a troll. That's some maturity, Edyit. I posted my opinion, not meaning to attack anyone, but to show my annoyance at these types of thread, and get personally insulted.
And if you have the right to post your annoyance at a thread, then why don't I? Similarly, if you have a problem with my posts, then don't read them. Right?
