Strategy Talk (in General)

Okay, trying to make CoC good again.

WMEW.

First Wall: Basic AC gear. MS, Adam, HoD, CML, SC, AoAC, Tulks.

Enchanter: AS and PL. Put a RoS here. For this strategy, you're going to want to keep the PL relatively high, but because of all the AC here, it won't have to be -too- high.

Back wall: Basic anti-mage AC gear. EH, HoD, MgS, CML, SC, AoAC, Tulks. Base protection, but then all HP here too.

And now the CoC mage.

Well, I actually did some research for a strategy. So here is what the CoC mage will have equipped.
CML, HoC, AoAC, AG, CoI, MCM, and Kite Shield.

With reasonable NWs at all the gear (I toned it down so I could imagine one day buying this) you will get +17 to your DD and 250 AC. And yes, the Kite Shield gives a huge amount of AC at only 1 million NW.

Simple really. Neutralize as much of the enemy as you can, spreading out enemy DDs too much to hurt, stopping MM with a EH and MgS, and stopping VB with CoC.

So... here is the question. Is that 250 AC on the CoC mage enough? Normal archers aren't a problem, but will it be enough to let the CoC make it to its first shot?

If not, you could just switch the RoS to ToE, but I really like the RoS in this strategy. Make use of the AC. And against everything -but- seekers, the RoS would be more effective. So... ideas people?

Basically vs archers using a decent ELB and BGs you will die if they use seekers, even with a 250AC and a TOE. The damage is far too high.

However, if you plan to fight all but non seeker using archers then CoC can be good. However the AMF backlash is too much for your TOE to fully handle. You will need some sort of AS to help out. The boost in HP given from the ROS is less then the HP you save with/using a TOE.

You are in luck though with the recent surge in seeker prices they are not available to anyone but those willing to spend 50 or more cb2 per arrow.

Probably not, but here I am hoping it will be. At least 200 AC that is. As my final strategy tries to use the "Free" AC from junction as an attempt to make a fully armored Mage work.

250 won't cut it, that's what I've got on my Wall right now (no ToE) and you can attack me to see the damage difference between him and a 0 AC minion. It really just won't be enough.
