This is for OpVines as I know him, POP-Sickle now. I just wanted to send you a little note of encouragement...because I like having you around in the community, and because I generally like you as a person.
I just wanted to make sure you know that I don't hold anything towards you - we often have arguments, and they turn very hot, very fast, and oftentimes I've told you to leave my PM box and CM box alone when I was absolutely tired of it. I know you've been mad at me as well at times, and I just wanted to say I'm sorry we went that far in our spats. I really do like you as a person - as a CB player - and as a friend.
You have a very strong sense of conviction, and you are very sure of where you stand, and I do appreciate that. I discovered that one when we first met and we were discussing those constellation reading things, can't remember what they're called now....but anywho. You're a good guy, despite that stubbornness that comes out when discussing something you feel strongly about, and you have a heart of gold. I've seen you be generous to others, and very helpful in Chat, offering tips and advice to other players, as well as discussing different strategies, coming up with creative ideas, just horsing around - and you bring a lot of fun to this game. That can be seen just from your user pic as it is now, with you holding up all the "popsickles". I really don't wanna get rid of that sense of fun from the forums and chat for good, 'cuz I like it. Fun belongs here, especially since this is a game!
And even though you got forum banned for that sense of conviction, that stubborn position you'll always hold on something you feel strongly about, I hope you decide to read through the threads and come across this thread and it brings a smile to your face, because I don't want this ban to cause you to leave. I want you to stick around in the community and be a permanent part of it, and I don't want you to feel resentful about the way you are treated by others, and I do want others to recognize that you ARE a great guy. Everyone's got flaws, myself included, and though I've seen some spotlighted more than others, just about everyone here really has good intentions.
I dunno, I guess I'd just like to see people stop trying to make others out to be 'villians' of the community (figured you'd pick up on that comic book reference, since you love comics, Vines) and just treat everyone nicely. And I don't think you get enough recognition for being a nice guy, Vines, so I want it right here in front of everyone. You are a good guy, and despite the conflicts we've had, I like you a lot and I want you to stick around.
Threads like this, though intended for one person, usually get a response of some sort... and if you'd like to give OpVines a little encouragement, to let him know you like him, feel free. If you'd like to leave one for anyone else, feel free. But don't put any little snide comments that are meant to hurt anyone in here. That crap doesn't need to be in forums in the first place.
As I said, I'd leave this in his CM, but I think everyone should know that Op's a good guy, and that even though he was forum banned it doesn't mean he's not a decent person, it just means he's let his emotions get the best of him one too many times in his forum posting and he needed to take a break. I still love 'em and you should too.
Bast is not allowed to read this post and/or correct it grammatically or vocabularily. Which isn't a word. Don't correct it, Bast. Hold yourself back.
....btw, can forum banned people receive CMs? Or read forums? I wonder. I've never been in the situation, so I was curious...but not so curious that I want a forum ban. Don't do it, any of you power-hungry admins. *chuckles*
