Battle Cry x 3? (in General)

Can anybody explain this? Charmin and Super Absorbent didn't do any damage and yet they issued battle cries. This was all against 1 minion (the first had died in a previous round).

Summer's Eve takes damage from his own Magic Missile (367)!
Summer's Eve's Magic Missile hit Meat [182148]
Summer's Eve cries "Let me CLEANSE you!"
Charmin missed Meat
Charmin cries "Squeezably Soft!"
Super Absorbent missed Meat
Super Absorbent cries "This Sux!!"

I'm guessing that it is because they swung that the dead minion and got the credit for the kill as well.

The TSA works at the very end of the round, so it should not have revived a character in between attacks.
