Hey. I'm going to talk a bit. I imagine 9/10ths of you won't read this, but eh. That's why it is in off-topic. It will probably all be CB related, but what can you do?

So, I'm going to talk about CB for awhile. First topic... CoC =D

I will try not be beat the horse. It's pretty much gone already. But I will try and angle this more around convincing you darned vets it ain't all that bad.

First of all, its power in unrivaled in this game. You can scream ELB to the top of your lungs, but there are -maybe- two teams in this game with more damage power (per shot lol) in the game. I once recorded 2.6 million damage and I was still under 50 million NW on the team at the same (30 million coming from a tattoo). So I really would like to see some of the cheaper players in the game looking at CoC (CoI, RoS, and AG, and you can compete)

Now... what else to gripe about. OH! You know what annoys me!? The history of the VB. When I first saw it, I loved it. I wanted one soooo badly. I finally got me one to (though I had to sell it). And I tried to convince everyone that it was great. Never went anywhere. But when the system to upgrade X changed, everyone started using it like they were the geniuses who realized how great it was. LIES. It was me!!! ANd Wolvie, and I bow to his ownage of the VB world.

That was all a joke, though I really did think that for like 20 seconds when the changed was made hehehe.

ELS needs a boost. So does BoNE. Heck, even BoTh. If you disagree go eat some taffy or something. I'm not sure what I mean by that, but I think it's a good idea. Ideas for ELS, BoNE, or BoTh. Can be applied to any.

- Increased base damage
- Decreased cost to increase their PTH
- Allow one handed weapons to attack during 1st round of melee, if used with no ranged or slings/xbows, taking into consideration the fact that they would be easier and faster to draw.
- Add cool effects. Splash damage (Like RoBF), VB effect to a lesser extent, reducing by a constant effect opponents stats (like... how cool would it be if when you hit them with your BoNE, the ED casted on them got weaker? Against AS, they would lose some of it's added HP, protection reduced, etc, etc.)
- Give them ST, DX, HP, or other effects.

Seriously though. Boost those weapons. They need it. Choices, choices, choices, and there are frighteningly few nowadays.

I want races. Races make the game more fun, I think.

Do what OB wants, regarding weapon history. I would -love- to know where KILLER'S COMPANION is. And I like the flavor that kind of change would add.

I got way more stuff to say. But I will say it later. The library is closing soon... and I'm tired...

CoC is so overrated

Agreed, it is highly overrated. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

OB wants to be speshshul and keep CoC for himself.

UC should definitely get some vorpalness. That would make UC a viable choice in the top ranks.

Change evasion so that each point of evasion is worth TWO points of PTH. Reduce it's bonus in ranged (if you must) but evasion needs something like this when PTH is in those regions higher than +200 - either because of spending power or because of ToA....

Or drop the PTH from the ToA, making it spending power vs. spending power instead of 'drop a tat on there' vs. spending power....

OH and guess what!?! I had a great idea!!!

Give mage attacks flavor text. Such a small thing, but if tanks get it, so should mages.

Decay would always say "rots".

CoC could be things like (and again, remember the system of it being based on damage) cools, freezes, shatters etc.

MM = Desouls, tickles, strikes

FB = Incinerates, burns, warms

You know, I just think it would give the mages a bit of flavor :p


I had another idea, but I think it would be too difficult to implement, even if it would -finally- give mages the variety they need in their strategies. I am... sick of hearing about mages being for players who want simplicity. That's just plain dumb. An in-depth strategy game should never have a strategy based on making things easy. But, eh.

I'd have to say I prefer OddBird's idea over JW's.
Increasing evasion's efficacy only makes it more of a ToA vs EV arms race with no other options, well, DD of course.
There are already EV minions out there my tank misses in melee. Fair enough, I don't use a ToA, but there are also some I hit. That seems balanced. I chose not to have a ToA. I don't want one, but sometimes I know if I was just to say to heck with it and slap on a ToA my tank would be much tougher.
Point is, there's still a choice. Maybe not in the top 10, but don't turn the game into a ToA/DD choice.
Oh, and yeah, de-nerf the VB :)

OMG ARG. This just occurred to me. And, you know what? It -really- makes me sad/angry. And before you get all "blah blah" on me, finish reading and -think- about it.

What's with the FS/WTB/Public record policy? If there is -proof- that a player has been scammed, why do you insist on not helping them out? How long does it take an admin to xfer an item? And YES, I'm being selfish. I've lost my VB, ToA, and ELB and I want them back. And it drives me crazy that because I did someone a good deed, I lost them.

You know... but besides just me... there have been -alot- of players who lost things that they simply didn't need to lose. Records existed, and in the same amount of time a player was reset or banned for defaulting on a deal, the same admin could have replaced the stuff.

And I know, the game's admins shouldn't interfere with the playing of the game. But... where evidence is so painfully obvious, why not? This game is about the community, so don't make it suffer from the occasional bad seed. Really, G, bart, Jon and any of you other sub-admins who want to justify the current policy. You're simply covering your butts, and though I TRULY understand that... but... it's about the community, and this is one of the places you could really help players. I understand. In some circumstances, it just isn't possible. But in others it really is. I don't know, I'm probably way off the mark here. But... whatever. I've griped enough about that.

I want to say this. All of you, right now, the very minute the read this, go listen to your favorite song. As a favor to me. And then go back to doing whatever it is you do. Thanks.
