Question about Mentoring (in General)

Is there a need for more mentors?
And would I be expected to donate free stuff if I became one?
And is there an exam, or do I need to be elected or something?

Just thought I should really be putting something back into the community after nearly two years of selfishly taking :-)

No exam. Click volunteer, and BAM! You are a mentor :)

Also, donating is not advised.

last I remember, there was a nice description of what a mentor does. I believe it is by the link to become one.

hmmmm
I guess if it's good enough for Jonathan :-)

Is there a description of what the 'achievements' are?

I think you have to actually have a student before you can see what the achievements are.

Well, that's me on the volunteer list.
The list of achievements are if you click on the number next to the mentor's name.
They're obviously part of the tutorial, but it would be nice to see exactly what the goals look like
