Fight privilege revoked? Why? (in General)

I was spending some BA. I went to get a coffee, and when I came back, I clicked the fight button and got this error:

"Your privilege to fight was suspended for 60 minutes starting at 7:58 AM EDT. Current server time is Tue Jun 19 08:01:06 2007.

You may fight again when that time has elapsed, or you may continue immediately after paying a fine of $71,466. Click here to pay $71,466 and continue fighting."

Why? This isn't the first time it happens. I spend some BA, then go do something else, I come back a few minutes later and my fight privilege is revoked.

Is this a bug?

You likely hit the fight button just before you left for coffee.

A botcheck came up and you "timed out".

Happens to be infrequently but enough to get frustrated.

Might be just the CB gremlins at work. They press the '60-Minute Ban' button everytime you leave CB unattended. It has happened to me, far too many times.

I have SNK.

Not once, but twice :) Both times it's almost certain that it was me that screwed up and not CB, but there's certainly precedence.

I am usually very careful about this sort of thing, and I usually stop fighting only when I see the links page appear. But maybe it is not completely impossible that I missed a bot check. I hope it's not a bug.

Your last fails were on June 17th so CB has you down as a "timed out" for your most recent fight ban. Whether as a result of you not noticing or a bug, well I suspect the former but have no way to confirm. Sorry :/

can this also happen if java is running goofy? I had this happen recently too, but my connection was slow and it seemed java didn't load properly when I was fighting.

sooka, it has nothing to do with java.

Java is what chat runs on, not CB.
