Observation: Tournaments and the store (in General)

The tournament seems to have taken a pretty substantial toll on the armor store, and to a lesser extent on the weapon store. This would seem to entail some "luck of the draw" moments as some tournament characters (those that get there first) will have access to more and better equipment than others.

Is there some plan to mitigate this effect? If not, it would seem like my duty, to try to mitigate it myself, is to buy up a bunch of basic gear after this tourney is over so that I can drop it into auctions at the start of the next tournament. The fact that this would generate a pretty large amount of cash for me has nothing to do with it...

There is a 10 minute cool down period between the time items enter the store or auctions and when a tournament player can buy them. So if someone were to try that then be prepared for other tourny players to try and beat them to it.

You think it's complicated now just wait until special tournaments with really complicated rules are instigated ;)

I do agree with what Synge is posting.

If your lucky enough to get that compound bow in the store near the beginning of your tourney character your set.
However, if you can only get a long bow, it may be tough going.

Same with tattoos, if you find a lesser tattoo in the store at the time you start, your golden, however, if not, you are quite behind those that did.

Randomness, it seems, is part of the game. Get lucky or die trying.

People with tattoos are pissing me off. Heaps of people have tats on their tourney character now, the store doesn't spawn that many...

I spent 50k on a base lesser tattoo in auctions. You could have easily done the same.

Selling gear to tournie characters was a very good business back in the day, its not like this is a new thing...

I bought my lessor for a 40k BIN in auctions...though there is one char with an RoE and I have no idea how he pulled that one off :D

Have a stockpile of tats, lessers, kats, and compounds I'll loan, give, or sell to good newbs if that helps the few mentors left. ;)

I managed to buy a lesser ToA from auctions ;) Maybe there should be a different store just for tourneys?

not all of us are on, when the lesser tats with BINs get cleaned out in 15 minutes.

Thought tournaments were supposed to be fair, its my fault that I'm asleep?

If not this tournament then at least the next one id expect to see the auction constantly stocked with lesser tats, the mark up is just too much to ignore, though it does seem only a few on CB have so far noticed.. Hopefully word will get round
