Upgraded Ammo - Tournaments (in General)

Also posted in the General Rules thread, you may not use ammo that is upgraded past base, I will give players until Saturday at noon to comply with this rule. If you suspect someone of breaking this rule, please chatmail me.

what about weapons - are we allowed to have big defensive weapons - this is totally ridiculous - but of course I will abide by the rules

so also are we to see rules change like this in other tourneys to suit certain individuals.

Why don't you just run tournaments where everyone is naked. Then you don't have to worry about Tats, Weapons or Armor.

I am almost certain Slayer will run a tourney where you must be naked.

But for now, upgraded ammo kind takes away from the strategy that is needed with such low BA tourneys. Especially when the winner is determined solely based on score.

The reasoning behind taking away upgraded ammo is simple, how can a mage hope to compete?
Evasion is an EXP-intensive skill, and at the levels tourney characters are limited to through BA
usage and time restrictions, its simply not possible to create a big enough evasion to counter
upgraded ammo. On the same point - even tanks cant keep up with both DX and evasion. I know
that upgrading ammo isn't extremely cheap, but tourney characters have money to spare, and
with no way to transfer it to their main characters, people are going to spend every cent they
have trying to win. I'm hoping that this rule helps keep diversity of team types in tournaments,
rather than just having all archers.
