We all love and know Minesweeper, so lets have a competition!
This version of Minesweeper is multi-player (2-way). The way to play this is fairly similar to the original Minesweeper. You each get one click per turn. You objective is to click on the bomb, not to avoid it like in the original. A flag will pop up if its a bomb and you get to go again. If you get a blank space, then it will show up with numbers like on the original and then its your opponent's turn. There are 52 mines I believe, so its the first person to uncover 26 to win.
This will be done of Windows Live Messenger, or MSN Messenger, they've changed the name, but its the same thing, approximately 20 MB in size. It's part of their games extension to it.
We'll do this by a simple elimination way. Hopefully we have even numbers. Basically pairing up, and the winner goes on and loser gets knocked out. You'll be paired randomly, though it wont really matter, I don't think anyone knows who is good at Minesweeper or not. :)
The entry fee will be 15k, the pot will already start with 150k courtesy of Mr. G_Beee. Send to Mr. Storage.
We can play best out of 3, which seems more fair. Or just 1 game, the games are not that lengthy.
You'll be given a week to find a suitable time for you and your partner to play. So we can have each round to take 1 week, so it doesn't drag on for too long.
Post here if you're interested with X-fer log. If we get less than 8 people then I don't think it would go on and in that case I'll just send back the entry fees.
If we don't get even numbers, I'll be glad to step in and play, if no one had any objections.
