This has got to be a PL bug (in General)

Ringo ate up over 1.2 mil HP in damage, when in the wiki it states that my trained PL will absorb 1.8 times its level. I don't think its a display bug, since Star didn't die until the last round Ringo absorbed damage.

Am I missing something very obvious, I have never used PL before. From what I can read in the wiki its not supposed to be working this way.

it absorbs 1.8 time its lvl PER round... thats all :)

oooooh ok, it doesn't say that in the wiki, haha, I do feel somewhat stupid now :D

WOW, PL is an incredibly powerful skill, for the amount of exp I have invested.

It's actually per hit; I clarified the wiki.

And yes, PL is very useful indeed. To maximize its abilities, filter all damage through heavy AC.

I'm digging PL right now, since if I keep it just low enough, Ringo wont even touch ELB damage and just let my enchanter die, while still sucking up any MM damage that comes into the wall. Fun stuff :D

It is not 1.8 times its level per round.

It is 1.8 times its level per HIT, provided you have enough hp left to absorb the damage.

Look no further then Oxcha to see the best usage of PL.

A heavy wall getting all the damage backed by a PL/HP sink wearing a TSA for HP regeneration.

Then another PL/HP sink in case the first dies.
