auto retired character with no email (in General)

One of my characters was auto retired without warning. Has this happened to anyone else? When I first started back in April I received a few emails about one of my characters and learned about score and mpr ratios... but no emails were sent this time. Just poof.

Guess you should get a better email provider.

It's possible that the emails were sent during the recent downtime of CB, and thus never made it out the door on CB's side, yes?

wouldn't the program try to send it later though?

I would guess that depends on the underlying mechanism and how fast CB came back online.

It's possible. CB relies on the smtpd to handle retrying. I'm not sure how long the retry period is for postfix; it's at least a day.

The command "postconf maximal_queue_lifetime" will tell you that. The default is 5 days.

Yahoo isn't the best email, but I had received warnings about one before which I thought was strange. Thanks for the replies.
