As of 3:44pm EST, I became an uncle to a beautiful little girl (which I have yet to see, though I am flying in tomorrow morning).

They sleep almost all the time for the first couple of weeks! ;) Just wait till she starts smiling and laughing. ;)

I hope that's in three weeks when I make another trip up to Michigan, GL. She pretty much either was sleeping or crying, except right after she was fed. Then she'd look around with those big eyes that you could tell were so hard for her to keep open, but with which she wanted to explore as much as she could (even though she can't even fully see yet). In short, it's great being an uncle, and I'm sure it's infinitely greater for my sister being a mother. All you parents out there already know this though. ;)

enjoy this time now!!! cause it goes fast. as much as you want them giggling and laughing, in a few months you'll remember when she would just lay there in your arms so quiet and peaceful.

Thanks for the cigar generally I give them to my brother because he smokes. I think I'll keep this one for my self ! I remember the first time I was an uncle . It can be loads of fun as an uncle you can buy them the fun presents for Christmas :ie drums. lol !

I think Emma was like that for about the first two weeks. ;)

You should really notice the difference in three weeks time! :D
