sluggish response when training xp (in General)

since earlier this afternoon, the server has seemed really sluggish off and on but especially when training xp. is it just on my end?

No problem here.

The main problem I have is when I equip or unequip items that effect the dex/evasion level on my tank. Once my evasion got over 1M effective level, things really slowed down upon changing dex based items.

Yes, slower Evasion training has been confirmed by Jonathan, it was a while ago. Strangely, though, my training has seemed to go pretty quick as of late, even when training Evasion...

maybe it is only the person with the biggest evasion that deals with that? Hmm?

it is still doing it today. it would have happened when i retrained some stats and took the evasion top spot. it does happen now regardless what i train.

Heh, seems that the higher Evasion is, the longer it takes.

I think Draco is onto something...the highest evasion taking the longest. That's why it got faster for me a while back when a bunch of people surpassed my Evasion level...

well i just timed it to see exactly how long it takes for the screen to refresh after clicking the train link. it took about 50 seconds. i think that it had always done it in a couple of seconds before if that long, definitely in five seconds though.

i just trained more xp and it took right at fifty seconds again. what if all the weird issues we have with determining how evasion truly works and this is tied together? some kind of calculation similar to max clan mpr being based on the highest char mpr but with effective evasion? i don't know that i believe that but it all just got me thinking why would there be a pause in training unless some calculation was being performed.

i guess that i hadn't changed out equipment too much but today while making some changes i am now see what ranger also spoke of...it is taking a heckuva long time to swap out my items as well.

I had the same problem myself when I had the first AND second highest evasions in CB (2 different teams) at the same time. The higher your evasion gets, the more time it wants to take to load. Change any equipment that will alter your DX/skill in any way, train one level of Evasion, or sneeze, causing your minion to have to dodge a booger, and you'll be in slowsville.
