Evasion ranged fix (in Changelog)

Fixed the defensive dx bonus to evasion in ranged to use the new bonus (it was using a higher bonus).

wow.. luckily my UC guy trains more dex than most tanks :P So doesn't really affect myself, but this sure push the threat of archery to a higher level

Something still is wrong.

I hit Bamf with a (198) evasion in all missile rounds.

I should not.

My pluses are only 167 + 6 (naming) + 18 (named arrows) = 191. 90% of that due to me using a MsB is 172.

His evasion overcomes that +.

I should not hit until my EC nerfs his evasion.

His defensive dex is: Evasion: 3,830,387/2,364,437 (198)

Multipliers:

2,364,437 x 2.33 = 5,509,139, 198 x 2.33 = 432
2,364,437 x2 = 4,728,974, 198 x 2 = 396
2,364,437 x 1.66 = 3,924,966, 198 x 1.66 = 329
2,364,437 x 1.33 = 3,144,702, 198 x 1.33 = 234

My EC is 3.3M

Therefore I should not hit Bamf till the last missile round. When I get the 150% bonus to my CTH.

Last round 150 (dex) + 172 = 322, which should give me a 92% chance to hit in the last missile round. In that round ONLY.

No way should I have over 200% CTH vs him in the last missile round. I love it personally, but something is not calculated right.

Hmmm. I've only got (121) evasion, and some of my opponents have some pretty big bows, but they're hitting me in ranged now twice where they missed before.

But evasion opponents on my fightlist who I could hit easily (+50 on my weapon plus whatever PTH a 1.5 mill ToA affords), I can't hit at all now.

I think you might have made Evasion completely useless now Jonathan. I am trying a new RoBF strategy and am training my Evasion quite heavily. I already have an effective level of (17). I used to make quite a few archers miss in ranged, and now I get pulverized. I am not dodging any of the 3 or 4 rounds of ranged where before I was. If this is how Evasion is supposed to work, I will most likely change my strategy to not incorporate it because I am already dumping a huge amount of exp into it.

Evasion is more effective later on, I'd say.

Weapons can be really big down low, wait a while, till at least (50).

Getting hit by a +105 bow in ranged and melee while I have a (194) Evasion does not sound right to me...Maybe I am missing something?

Getting better higher up, I don't think so.

Well, add me to the list... Against Failure, minion Failsafe, in round 2 of ranged:

defensive dx is 7
dx-based chance to hit is 159.999999999
pth after evasion is -69.0
total chance to hit is 91

I guess I am still not getting it... Evasion still counts for SOME defensive dex, correct? I should have way more dex than Failsafe, hi EC only casts for 20.

Oops, not I am fighting to test more and I beat him, he no longer hits... Change?

Anecdotally, we are back on track... Lega and Failure were beating me some this morning, and I saw the dex details change back when I started beating them again.

Hopefully some of the really huge bows should still be able to hit me, but I will let Ranger report on that. *smile*
