Does an AoI fool Decay? I can never remember. :/
It fools the RBF doesn't it?
it's decay's only real use

Yup. I realized this a few days ago. Now, if only decay would work in ranged and make it a good spell, instead of a novelty item.
Decay is a great spell if you get enough castings off. On high HP teams without GA, my base decay does over 1 million HP worth of damage.

fight
novice and tell me it's a novelty item.

All DD spells ignore AoI.

Ummm... edyit... you can't show one character that uses something and say it's good because they use it well...

Ummm..
GW, decay is perfect in the situation Novice uses it.
That is using a AoE DD spell like CoC or FB to take out the lower hp enchanters/blockers in front, then letting the decay rip through the tank/mage.
Combined with GA, it is a very effective strategy.

Of course. And one of the very, very few that decay works so well with. Novelty doesn't mean bad.
It usually does. That's why we call JKF's novelties :P
