It's about time to train (2nd try) (in General)
So several people have been modifying their strats and forcing me to train above my pleasant 1,999,999 MPR mark. Ok, I'll give in and train... but the question is... where? First, here's all the wonderful details:
Now, here are the guidelines to follow:
- I have to maintain the ROE usage. It's the only way to gain ground. Besides, my tattoo isn't ready yet.
- Redesigning the entire strat isn't exactly the best idea.
- I generally try to pick a target and train to beat that target, then repeat with a new one. So, you can check my fight log to see who I am currently beating, and who is beating me. Training to remove an attacker or gain someone not on my fightlist (Draco, I'm looking at you....) is the key.
- Boosting a weapon stat is always an option, as I'm way under my WA and can obviously afford to max it out. The question is.. x or +?
- Boosting armor stats is less desirable. I have an awesome PR:MPR ratio, and I'd like to keep it that way.
- Anything else and I'll add it later.
Use this thread, not the other one.
Argh, and you JUST made it into my list !
Wow, I should have been keeping an eye on you... how is it that with a max DX bonus and a PTH of +172 I can NEVER hit you??? Your evasion can't be THAT high! I have a total CTH of over 300%!

thats what...500k MPR untrained? o.O
Ok, I understand... first, your evasion gives you DX (duh..) so I don't have a max DX bonus. How much evasion do you actually have, though?
lol 9 million on an EO should knock a few of your opponents out ;) Perhaps a huge EC to reduce the defensive dex on Ash? ;O)
With my current down-tuned equips :
Evasion: 3,857,825/2,310,075 (199)

Boost ST/DX on first minion
Max EC on second
Boost AS on third
Train a Bigger PL on Last
that will prolly help you out a bit with the EC and the second bigger PL on the last guy

Ember--HP or dex (dex if your going with EC on Alh)
Alh-Drop decay, add PL and some more HP vs Pumping EC all the way
Lidda-drop PL, pump AMF
Reg-I would say pump up the dex vs HP. If you use EC on Alh, then pump up dex to get some dex chance to hit vs high evasions in melee, that may make the
difference is rarely hitting vs missing all the time. If you go mpre HP on Alh, then more hp on Reg to try to stalemate those RBF minions.
I would say maxing your EC will mesh very nicely with your Exbow. If you get your EC big enough, you can start taking the wind out of a tank right away, as PL will have no effect on the drain if they already have negative str.
Sorry for the double, but looking at some people that are beating you, namely The Lega and Edyit: A bigger EC would nuke their small dex, which could shave off as many as 2 hits on your enchanters, in addition to helping land some more hits with your massive Exbow.
It feels good to be in your sights again NS ^_~
But so far what Ranger said would work the best... the higher PL or the more of it you have the more rounds it takes for an Ax/Exbow to take effect on the tank rather than the enchanters. If you have a higher PL than half the damage someone deals out then your set...
More HP is always a plus... when it takes longer to eat through an enchanter it gives that tank one more round to deal damage....
Since you already kill most Str in one to two hits I would say pump up the plus on your Exbow to hit the 200 mark...
Bigger EC would be another thing I would do....
Good luck adding me to your fight list again.
Thanks for the responses thus far. Look for changes on Sunday. I will have about 20m XP in total available to train.
If you don't mind, I'd be interested in knowing how much time it took you to get that much EXP stockpiled...
Because that's insane! Lol, I hardly can contain myself when I have 100k lying around...and keeping more piled up would be lots better for strat planning.

lol i would never have the patience to horde exp, there's always be an urge to just train it all :P
About a month and a half for him... Well at least I think its been about that long since I changed a few things and he stopped beating me, and that was abut the time since his last train spurt.
Oh, one month and a half is a reasonable objective for hoarding :) I can never bring myself to consider the fact that training 15k EXP is NOT going to change anything to my fight results...
I've always maintained a philosophy throughtout this character that I only train when necessary. Usually, what I do is pick a char that I can't yet beat but can almost beat, and I add more to whatever stat lets me win. Once I can win, I stop training until I find another opponent. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Since the objective is to win fights, I only train that which lets me win fights.
And yes, I'd say a month and a half or so is a good estimate. The ROE helps a lot. It's naming is going to expire soon, which will mark the one-year date from when I started the NCB. I named the RoE a few minutes before starting.

The only problem with using a ROE is that your tattoo does not grow. Which can make a huge difference in battles at the top levels.
You're entirely correct, and I'm working on a way to deal with that. I started with an insta to G's old tattoo, and have moved on from there.
Regarding EC, I trained EC simply to get rid of base/small DX and ST that fouls things up for fight orders, stat drain, etc.
