30 days of night (in Off-topic)

The wife and I just got back from the theater.

What a waste of 19 bucks (not including popcorn and 2 drinks)!

Anyone else see this piece of crud and agree/disagree?

It had such a great premise and the special effects for the vampires were outstanding, but the plot was worse then my 5 year old could have made up.

never heard of it, but would you rate above or below "epic movie"? (rated F by yahoo)

I would give it a C minus.

The only thing stopping it from getting an F is the special effects on the vampires, and the copious amounts of blood/gore.

But the plot was rather childish and foolish.

Sometimes one can suspend disbelief in the actions of the characters and chalk it up to hysteria/shock. However, in a movie that takes place over a 30 day period, some rational thought has got to occur. Many times during this movie, the wife and I told each other: "Why the hell are they doing this? It makes absolutely no sense. You people deserve to die for being stupid."

Yeah, i agree. The vampire effects were great but the plot was quite terrible.

The movie missed alot. A little background info on the town would have been great. Just something to establish a relationship between the audience and the movie. Instead, the movie just jumps right in before developing anything about the characters or town... bleh!

I did find it interesting that throughout the_entire_movie no one ever called them "vampires." Lol

Movie gets a borderline F because they did show the vampires alot rather than just letting us catch a mere glimpse.
